Athelas is built on the belief that student technical talent is an underpriced asset class when surfaced early enough and under the right evaluation lens. In the current landscape, traditional student funds are designed to invest broadly but lack the high conviction and support needed to help companies rapidly scale. Institutional firms, in contrast, wait for obvious traction and proof before engaging, and risk losing access to those few contrarian companies that provide outsized returns.
